SLOPPS™ · the census
Series One is printing.
Series — one hundred cards, then never again · prism — the art style a card was struck in · census — how many of each exist, revealed when the series closes · the bell — the close, rung once by the house.
Or mint one from any list — we say “mint” the way a press does: a card gets struck once, numbered, and counted against a run that never grows. pick a list →
The ten backs of Series One
the full list →Every card is painted through one of ten prisms, rolled at print time and sealed with the rest of the contents. The prism decides the front — and prints its own pattern on the back, so a series is ten backs as much as it is ten styles. Rarity picks the shelf: commons pull the house styles, foils get the one nobody expects.

two ceilings · a SERIES is one hundred cards, total — rarity is rolled at the draw, so which styles the hundred land on is whatever luck writes. And no SUBJECT is ever printed more than ten times, across every style and every series, forever — never twice in the same style, so its ten are ten different pictures. A new series is a new set of prisms and a new hundred.

- the hundred · a series is 100 cards, total. Rarity is the roll, not a print run — how many came up foil is whatever luck wrote.
- the rule of ten · no subject is printed more than 10 times, across every style and every series, forever.
- one per style · a subject never strikes the same prism twice — its ten are ten different pictures. A rolled repeat falls to a shelf-mate; a subject with its whole shelf struck refuses and refunds.
- the sparkle · only Black Velvet can carry the grail, and one velvet in five does — about one sparkle per hundred cards, each a 1 of 1. Some series never get one.
- mint · the printer's word: struck once, numbered, counted against a run that never grows. Ten mints per list per series. No chain involved.
The print law of Series One
- THE HUNDRED · a series is 100 cards, total, ever — rarity is rolled at the draw, so how many came up foil is whatever luck wrote
- THE RULE OF TEN · no subject is ever printed more than 10 times — across all series, all prisms, all sources, forever. Ten cards of Alien will ever exist.
- one per style · a subject never strikes the same prism twice — its ten are ten different pictures. Commons print pulp/chibi/riso/tarot, rares Bass/ukiyo-e/constructivist, epics Dürer/stained glass, foils Black Velvet
- the sparkle · only Black Velvet can carry the grail, and one velvet in five does — each a 1 of 1; some series never get one
- the refusal · a pull or mint that lands on a fully-printed subject is voided at the registry and refunded — the press never lies
- caps are ceilings, the census is truth · supply can only ever disappoint downward · a closed series never prints again · blockchain sold separately
